Partner Sarah Marmor has been named to the Crain’s Chicago Business’s list of “Notable Gen X Leaders in Law”

Partner Sarah Marmor has been named to the Crain’s Chicago Business’s list of “Notable Gen X Leaders in Law.”  The Editors selected 121 attorneys for this honor. To qualify for the list an honoree must be an attorney between the ages of 40 and 55 who holds a senior leadership position in his/her firm and serves as a role model or mentors other attorneys.  A “Notable Gen X Leader in the Law” must also assume leadership positions outside their law firm in professional organizations and civic activities.

In a profile published in Crain’s, the editors wrote: “In the last 18 months Ms. Marmor helped lead a team that successfully defended more than 30 cases in favor of the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Her work included setting new precedent in three appellate decisions that rejected efforts to reinstate hundreds of disciplined employees.”

In addition to serving as Chair of Scharf Bank Marmor’s Employment Practice and Co-Founding Partner of the firm, Ms. Marmor serves as the Board Vice President of Lawyers for the Creative Arts and is a Trustee of the Court Theatre.  She has successfully chaired major fundraising events for both organizations.  Ms. Marmor also volunteers pro bono legal services to victims of sexual harassment.
