At Scharf Bank Marmor's recent Oscars Preview Party, Attorney Rebecca Ford, Movie Critic for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Gary Zidek, Cultural Critic and Host of “The Arts Section” on WDCB 90.7/90.9 led a lively discussion about the 2019 Oscar contenders. Guests enjoyed a red carpet welcome, were entertained with stories and insights from these two movie mavens and heard their insider views on this year’s nominations. The evening ended with a law-movie trivia contest and the winners got to take home their own golden statuettes.
Ms. Ford, an attorney at Scharf Banks Marmor LLC, is the former Executive Vice President for litigation and intellectual property at the MGM movie studio. She has written a regular movie review column for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin since 2016.
