Firm Congratulates Three Outstanding Attorneys on Their Recent Promotions

Scharf Banks Marmor congratulates three of our outstanding attorneys on their recent promotions.  Rebecca L. Ford and George D. Sax are now Partners in the Firm, and Morgan G. Churma is now Senior Associate. 

Rebecca L. Ford concentrates her practice on corporate transactions and contracts, corporate governance and corporate compliance programs.  She has extensive experience managing litigation and provides critical support on public/private transactions managing government and stakeholder relationships.  Prior to joining Scharf Banks Marmor, Rebecca served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Draper and Kramer, Executive Vice President for litigation and intellectual property at the MGM movie studio and Associate General Counsel at City Colleges of Chicago.

George D. Sax concentrates his practice in civil litigation.  He has represented numerous individual and business clients in a variety of matters, including employment litigation and counseling, breach of contract, class actions, commercial litigation, Chapter 11 restructuring, consumer fraud, insurance coverage, product liability (both on behalf of defendants or contribution plaintiffs), trade secrets and restrictive covenants litigation and toxic tort defense. In addition, George has considerable experience in government practice litigation.  He has served more than two dozen times as a Special Assistant State's Attorney for Cook County as lead counsel for the Cook County Sheriff's Office and its officers in a variety of civil litigation matters.

Morgan G. Churma concentrates his practice on complex litigation, insurance recovery, and employment litigation and counseling. He has represented litigation clients in a variety of multiparty contract disputes, tort litigation, “long tail” insurance coverage, and employment disputes.  Outside of litigation, Mr. Churma provides counseling on a variety of insurance coverage and employment matters. As a Special Assistant States Attorney for Cook County, Morgan has represented the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in numerous civil litigation matters.
