As any practitioner should know, lawyers can and do make mistakes. The question is: What do they do when—in the classic passive voice—a mistake is made? Law360 interviewed Partner Sarah Marmor about that question and the value of making mistakes in becoming a better lawyer.
“The lesson here is you always own up to your mistakes,” Marmor says. “I’m amazed at the amount of cases where the mistakes don’t result in draconian consequences, and I think it’s in part because I don’t think there’s a lawyer who has not made them.”
