Sarah Marmor Appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Court Theatre

Sarah R. Marmor has joined the Court Theatre’s Board of Trustees.   Established in 1955, Court Theatre is the University of Chicago’s Center for Classic Theatre.   The Court Board of Trustees works in close concert with the University of Chicago, which bears final fiduciary and legal responsibility and authority for the theatre. Together, the Board and University guide Court’s mission and vision.

Court Theatre puts on five plays per season, which are attended by over 35,000 people each year, in addition to various smaller performance events such as play readings.  Court Theatre curates large-scale, interdisciplinary theatrical experiences, develops new translations and adaptations of classic texts and hosts events related to the theatre's programming throughout the University's campus and the greater Hyde Park area. Court Theatre also provides numerous internships to University of Chicago students.

Ms. Marmor is a passionate advocate for the arts.  She also serves as a Board Member of the Lawyers for the Creative Arts.  More information about Court Theatre is available at www.courttheatre.org
