Ted Banks Joins Association of Corporate Counsel/Loyola University School of Law Antitrust February 11, 2020 Seminar Faculty

Partner Ted Banks will be joining an expert panel of representatives from government, private practice,  in-house counsel and academia on February 11, 2020 for the Association of Corporate Counsel, Chicago Chapter/Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s seminar on “Understanding the Compliance Guidelines from the Department of Justice Antitrust Division.”

With over three decades of in-house experience as a Compliance Officer, Mr. Banks is frequently asked to share his insights into managing a successful compliance function.  He will speak on “What the Government (or a Monitor) Looks for in a Compliance Program.”

The program begins at noon with lunch and will feature five information-packed presentations all focused on the recently released and long-awaited Antitrust Division’s guidelines, “Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs in Criminal Antitrust Investigations.”   These guidelines explain how the Division will evaluate antitrust compliance programs when considering enforcement against an alleged antitrust violator. The panel of experts will discuss how to understand these guidelines and apply them in a way most likely to persuade the Antitrust Division of the good intent of the company – and to reduce the chances of an antitrust violation!
