Corinne C. Heggie has been appointed Co-Chair of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois In-House Committee for 2016-2017 bar year. The In-House Committee focuses on needs unique to attorneys that practice in corporate legal departments. On October 6, 2016, the In-House Committee conducted a panel entitled “Strategic Considerations for In-House Counsel Regarding the Attorney-Client Privilege.” The panel discussion addressed the application of the attorney-client privilege to the in-house counsel environment and best practices for in-house counsel and their clients. The panel was comprised of two in-house attorneys, Deborah G. Solmor, Deputy General Counsel, Litigation & Chief Compliance Officer for Career Education Corporation and Monika J. Machen, Senior Counsel Litigation for General Electric Capital Corporation. Terance Gonsalves and Carrie Stickel, both of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, also served on the panel.
