Corinne Heggie presented Meredith Ritchie, Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of Alliant Credit Union with the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois’ Top Women Lawyers in Leadership Award on October 20, 2016. The Award emphasizes the accomplishments and diverse backgrounds of women lawyers who are making professional contributions through their service in a leadership role. Past award winners have included leading women lawyers in business, government, public office, academia, trade, and private practice.
Ms. Heggie, a member of WBAI’s Board of Directors, nominated Ms. Ritchie for WBAI’s Top Women Lawyers in Leadership Award. Ms. Heggie stated, “Meredith embodies the Women’s Bar Association’s mission which is to advance and promote the interest of female attorneys within the legal profession. The legal community, in Chicago especially, is lucky to count Meredith within its ranks because she walks the walk, and talks the talk without even thinking about it.” A link to the awards video is below.
