Partner Ted Banks was a lead moderator at the Compliance and Ethics Forum in Chicago on October 12 and Christian Liipfert (Counsel) was one of the discussion leaders. This was a highly interactive session, with representatives from large cross-section of domestic and international industries (including health, real estate, education, manufacturing, and finance), as well as government agencies and trade associations. Participants shared their experiences, pain points, and solutions around multiple topics, including the connection between enterprise risk management and the compliance program; dealing with training fatigue; how to handle internal investigations; policy creation, review and administration; managing compliance within budgetary restraints; training; auditing; change management; and ethical dilemmas.
