Stephanie Scharf Leads ABA Resolution 300 About Sexual Harassment Claims

Partner Stephanie Scharf, Chair of the American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Law, spearheaded the adoption of Resolution 300 by the House of Delegates at the ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago, August 6, 2018. In an effort to confront the widespread problem of sexual harassment at law firms, the ABA’s House of Delegates adopted the Resolution that urges law firms to end mandatory arbitration in sexual harassment claims. As explained by Ms. Scharf, the Resolution gives victims a choice at the time of whether to pursue claims for sexual harassment in private arbitration or in court.
