On November 17, 2015, Partner Stephanie Scharf, moderated a special program sponsored by DirectWomen in Chicago. DirectWomen is a national organization whose mission is to increase the number of qualified women attorneys on the boards of public companies. Ms. Scharf is a member of the Board of DirectWomen, which since its formation, has seen 22% of alumnae join corporate boards.
The Chicago program, “Breaking Into The Boardroom: The Pathways And The Process,” addressed the ways in which women lawyers can position themselves to become members of corporate boards.
